Christmas Eve Video From Mother Miriam

Beloved Family,

Can you imagine that you all have been on my heart non-stop – mainly because I have not yet been able to get our Christmas newsletter in the mail to you?! Oy!

However, just this morning – Christmas Eve – I received a most beautiful email with the video below from the incredibly talented group known as Selah. I immediately called their office to ask permission to send it to you – but, alas, they are closed for the Christmas Holy Days, as well they should be! So I am employing a bit of Jewish chutzpah and sending it to you. How could Selah not want the gifts our Blessed Lord has given them to be spread through the whole world for which He came?

Dear Selah: God bless you – if we owe you royalty fees, just let us know. It will be a small price for the gift you have given the world through your music.

Selah has magnificently combined Israel’s national anthem, “HaTikva” (which means The Hope), with the song that echoes the cry of the Jewish people for centuries: “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” – Who is the Hope of Israel, and of the entire world.

Alas, alas, Emmanuel did come – oh that the whole world knew!

Below is the video. Simply click on the picture, skip the ad as soon as possible, and enter into the beauty of this blessed presentation. We send it to you with gratitude to Selah and with our love and very best wishes for a most holy and blessed celebration of Messiah’s birth.

Our love and prayers for each of you this Holy Night and throughout the whole of Christmastide,

Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, O.S.B.

May God shower His blessings upon you as together we adore the Newborn King!
